Sea Growth has initiated a new collaboration with ORF Genetics, marking an important step in our ongoing research and development efforts in cultivated seafood.

As part of the collaboration, Sea Growth has received the first batch of growth factors developed and produced by ORF Genetics. These growth factors will be tested in our cell culture media for salmon cell lines, supporting our work to optimise media composition and reduce costs.

This collaboration strengthens knowledge exchange within Iceland’s biotech ecosystem and supports the development of innovative solutions for sustainable food production. We are grateful to ORF Genetics for their trust and support and look forward to exploring the potential of these growth factors in our systems.
